Methods of Counseling:

Based on your situation and needs, counseling may draw from one or more of the following pastoral, religious-based therapy orientations.

  • Solution focused therapy:
focusing on the power of small, immediate changes to effect larger changes.

  • Cognitive therapy:

               (also known as cognitive-behavioral

               therapy or CBT).
identifies and helps a person to

               correct specific errors in thinking

               that produces negative or painful

               feelings or disruptive behavior.

  • Systemic therapy:

              therapy that attemps to involve

              the whole family in explorying

              the hidden positive resources in

              family’s belief and value systems

in order to help someone overcome

their struggle in the family system.
